Spring Chronicle: Ditching the Fall, Early Spring Clean
CHANGE UP THE GEAR!
I'm an advocate of mixing and matching seasons together. Just because it's windy outside doesn't mean you have to miss the Spring fun. Throwing on a cardigan with a dress and adding a scarf is actually a fun and warm way to enjoy the Spring weather, just as well as throwing on a blazer and tights. Don't be afraid of bringing out your warm wear, but adding bright colors like yellow, tangerine, and cobalt to help usher in the new season.
BOOTIES CAN BE SUBSTITUTED FOR SANDALS
Now, I will say, wearing the thigh high or over the knee boots are a Spring NO-NO! Try booties that come around the ankle area. Whether they are open or closed toe, the bootie is a transitional shoe that can give you the assurance of a Winter feel without compromising the Spring season. Dress them up with skirts, boyfriend jeans, and even leggings with a button-up blouse or nice tunic/jumper. Either way, you'll be able to enjoy the Spring weather while still staying warm.
BUT FOR YOU OTHER LADIES...
Spring is here and you don't want to be caught in suede! Lol! Straight to bring out the best of what your closet has to offer by embracing what flaunts your figure the best while showcasing your ability to show off color. Go for a nice Spring dress with floral prints (yes...florals in Spring...GROUNDBREAKING) but mix the florals with a stripe or leopard print. Show a little skin with a nice maxi dress or fitted playsuit, but be mindful to still be stylish with festive jewelry, clutches and totes, sandals and wedges that help bring out the Spring weather better.
See you ladies for Part II.
Fashionably Signing Off,
